Looking at the drawings of Nigel Robinson

The portrait is not the most frequent artistic subject in contempory fine arts, but we are struck by there natural force and it comes to mind the discour to David Sylvester by Willem De Kooning “nowadays in painting, it's really absurd to reproduce an image, like the image of a man, because we have the choice to do it or not, but… that’s more absurd not to do it”
